@@johnbanket7000 I was trying to get it inside between the hours and balls. If your cv joint is making any noises, just replace it real soon. We were not going far with this vehicle and not even much over 35 miles a hour for maybe 5 minute runs. Trust me, this is no solution.

Glad it worked for you. Sometimes, if they are bad enough, they require a sanding with 1000 & 2000 sand paper, then the polish.

@@unclemarksdiyauto I see a lots of people replacing whole tensioner and they can be expensive but pulley can be purchased for $20 I even sometimes press in new bearing 👍🏻

@@unclemarksdiyauto Not sure why the connector on the unit melted. The sealing O ring was missing also. Hopefully after replacement of these parts, the CEL will disappear. Good job on this video. Very helpful. Thanks.

@@unclemarksdiyauto thanks! Yeah the fuel pump relay on the '97 Bonneville is in the same general location . And btw, my old '97 Bonneville does have the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. It's handy, I easily checked the fuel pressure there once.

It is snow. Thinking I shot this video back in mid May. These videos are scheduled usually months ahead. Right now, we have had a pretty cold start to summer with many 39 & 40 F . We should have around 72 F as an average.

I have to agree most people should just hire the professionals. This spray is specifically made as a no rinse. It still wouldn’t hurt to rise maybe half hour later before reassembly of the covers. Thanks Robert for your comment.

I have heard that! I will have to do a bit more research as to what year that stopped using this inner fender. (Make it too easy and customer stops going to the dealer! )

The oil has to be at a certain temperature, that’s why I did it hot. But, it can be too hot and that will affect the level. Not too hot, not a bit cooler. The shops use a special tool that they watch for the exact temperature before they check the levels.

I am guessing that when the AC is on, it causes more drag on the belt which in turn puts more pressure on the tensioner, but when air is off, it allows that tensioner to rattle and flop around. Lots of miles on the car? Ever replaced the tensioner?

lol! It is possible. These fins are easy to bend. (Just look at your vehicle radiator. ) They bend just looking at them.! The point is try and be careful & if you bend a couple, it is not the end of the world. This unit is many times more efficient now with all the fluff that was plugging it up (even if a fin is folded) than a not bent fin and the system completely plugged up. Now if you polled a hole in the tubes that the fins sit on, that would be the end of your cooling unit.

Ah, good point! Every video I do I learn something to include on the next one. Thanks for pointing that out. It did come on and she (the owner) was happy I got fixed.

Because on some vehicles, (especially all the older ones), those 2 bolts adjust the camber and once messed with requires a wheel alignment, other wise your ties will wear out. So instead of chancing this is one that might mess with the adjustment, you do the safe thing & pop the lower control arm.

Not sure your question. These vans don't have a transmission dip stick. So you watched the whole video and understand how to figure it out? This transmission is at the right level. It is not low.

Lol! I sold this car and I see it running around at least once a week. It’s about a hour out of town. Lots of miles everyday.
